As one of the UK’s leading battery suppliers, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously. This interest, coupled with our aim to always offer high quality customer service and competitive prices has inspired the launch of our innovative, free of charge, scrap battery collection and incentive service for our trade customers.
The substantial battery price increases of the last two years have been primarily driven by the increase in lead price. As starter batteries are easily recycled, the lead content of scrap batteries has also increased in value. By returning scrap batteries to us, not only are our customers supporting our environmental efforts, they also have the opportunity to offset a large proportion of lead related price increases.
We are offering our customers the opportunity not only to collect and return scrap batteries whilst complying with legislative requirements, but to also recover the value of the lead contained within each battery used.
SYBS RECYCLING BATTERIES Policy
SYBS can arrange for a free scrap bin to be delivered to your site. When the bin is full, we will arrange for it to be collected from you and replaced with an empty bin. At the end of each month, credit notes will be issued in accordance with the weight of scrap batteries that has been collated.
Please note that SYBS can only collect scrap batteries from or supply bins to customers who are registered with the environmental agency.
